Dalton Arts Project is committed to deepening its relationships with current community partners. Through a grant from the Community Foundation of Northwest Georgia and the generosity of DAP donors, Dalton Arts Project is currently sponsoring “A Chance to Dance,” hip-hop movement classes taught by Vince Gully, offered through the afterschool program at the Boys and Girls Club.
Dalton Arts Project is also currently holding session classes in Creative Movement for the pre-K classes at Friendship House. This is an ongoing program that is in its fourth year with Jo Beth Thompson as the instructor.
Dalton Arts Project is excited that its program at New Hope Elementary school continues with local pianist Angela Arthur. Ms. Arthur uses a guided listening approach to introduce students in the afterschool program to basic musical concepts.
