Dalton Arts Project would like to thank its donors for the incredible support shown for Dalton Arts Project's Nutcracker and other community Artreach projects. They have been hugely successful and warmly received throughout Northwest Georgia. During the year, the all volunteer Dalton Arts Project continued its Artreach by partnering with and bringing the arts to Cherokees Estates, Friendship House, Dalton-Whitfield Daycare, Boys & Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and others. Our Club D service group, comprised of many of the Dalton Dance Company members, provided over 1000 hours of volunteer efforts for the community and was recognized by the United Way Volunteer program.

Our annual production of Nutcracker 2009 will be presented on December 10, 11, 12 and 13 at the Dalton High Theatre. Last season, over 350 dancers brought delight and holiday cheer with SEVEN sold out performances attended by over 3500 patrons from our community and through out the Southeast. Many underserved youths enjoyed the show through our ticket subsidy program. We are proud of the fact that Dalton Arts Project's Nutcracker 2006 was featured in Southern Living magazine. We appreciate the donors' support to keep this wonderful holiday tradition growing and thriving as recurring annual costs continue for our guest professional dancers, our lighting, sound and special effects, theatre rental and our many other "surprises" that make our live production so special.
